Hollins University CARES Act Relief

Recently, U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced the availability of emergency grant funding through the CARES Act for undergraduate and graduate students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19. These grants are meant to offer relief for eligible expenses under a student’s cost of attendance, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, transportation, health care, and child care. According to the guidance from the Department of Education, students eligible for this financial support must be able to qualify for Title IV funding (federal financial aid).

If you have experienced financial hardship as a result of the disruption caused by COVID-19 and have demonstrated emergency needs which may be covered as eligible expenses, we ask that you complete this form ASAP. It is important to note that international students that do not qualify for Title IV funding are not eligible for consideration through the CARES Act. Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis; to determine the level of financial need and nature of your eligible expenses, additional information may be required after submission of this form.
